I currently work as a Lecturer at APU teaching a variety of levels from Elementary English to advanced English courses such as Discussion and Debate. I am also involved in curriculum development and professional research.

April 2011 – Feb 2013          OWLS Ltd.                              Kitakyushu, Japan
I taught English at Junior High Schools as well as teaching online Business Writing classes for Kyushu University and Evening Business English classes through OWLS.

Oct 2010 – March 2011     Universe Academy Kindergarten     Miyakonojo, Japan
I taught English to children age 2 – 4 years old.

Jan. 2010 – May 2010        Student Teaching    Hudson, WI and Hangzhou, China
I taught ESL classes, in both Wisconsin and in Hangzhou, China in order to earn my Teaching License. In Hudson, the focus was on conversational skills with small classes, while in China the focus was on grammar and each classroom had 50 or more students.

Jan. 2009 – Dec. 2009                  English  101                      River Falls University,  WI
I was a lecturer at River Falls University teaching English 101 while earning my Master’s Degree. The focus was on reading comprehension, writing skills, and listening and speaking in a classroom setting.

I taught English to University age students for three weeks.  The goal was to improve conversational speaking and listening skills while enjoying a relaxed and fun learning atmosphere.

Through English Tutoring Services, I assisted University students with writing papers, understanding textbooks, completing homework and understanding cultural differences.
